a traditional Thai design.
UpDate CO., LTD Samui
now offering a range of beautiful teak products, made to order, thatallow for rich authenticity combined
with Germanengineering.
We joined up with
TS TEAK, a leading Thai teak manufacturer.
TS TEAK is based in the North of Thailand and has decades of experience in the teak
industry working in close cooperation with the Thai government.
While teak wood has received quite a bit of bad press
due to many illegal logging practices, this company grows all of their own trees from seedlings to
trees of 10 to 15 years old before their harvest begins. This process takes place on 5000 Rai of
land and the company employs local people to work in a cooperative community style project.
The grand size and scale of the farming is accompanied by an equally impressive meticulous
process of matching each and every plank of wood to the tree that produced it -and that's just
the beginning.
From the plantations, the harvested wood is then planked and set in the extraordinary
kilns to dry. Each piece is heat-treated and can remain in the kiln for a period of up to 2 months.
Once this process is complete, the wood is then moved to the factory where the made-to-order, flooring,
roofing, windows or doors are then cut and glued before heading for ultra violet drying and finishing.
The finishet Produkt is delivered within 3-4 weeks. We offer a full range of products in teak,
all of them designed andready to market after a year ofmeticulous planning.
The unique craftsmanshipis stunning, hiding the
mechanics within the frame. Our triple-point recessed doors and window systems do not allow for wind or rain to
pass through and are specially designed for any shrinkage or expansion during the hot and wet months in Thailand.
We offer bi-folding doors that grant all the benefits of indoor and outdoor living space, adding the opulence of
real teak wood. The teak is pre-treated in such a way that that there is next to no maintenance needed and depending
on how long the wood is heat treated can last well up to a century.
